Chef Series Kick Off with Chef Jason Dady - SOLD OUT!

Join us for a night of libations and entertainment as we kick off our Guest Chef Series in Austin. Chef Jason Dady (San Antonio) will take over the Nido lounge for an evening of tastes and flavors all married with live music and delicious cocktails.

From the time Chef Dady was young, he was surrounded by culinary excellence by his grandparents. Dady quickly learned to love all things culinary and took to official training at Texas Tech University, where he earned his BA in Restaurant, Hotel and Institutional Management. With his degree in hand, Dady left for San Francisco where he earned his culinary degree from the CCA and spent time in the kitchens at Jardinère, Stars and Beringer Wine Estates.

Alongside his brother, Jake Dady, and wife, Crystal Dady, Chef Dady cultivated a business that would later become a San Antonio staple. Throughout the years Jason and Team Dady have sprouted multiple restaurants and business ventures, even landing them on the shelves of Texas’s most beloved grocer, H-E-B. In his extensive culinary career, Dady has launched concepts ranging from steakhouse and seafood to Asian-inspired eats. His unique approach to flavor, service and presentation became the building blocks of not only his restaurants, but also Chef Jason Dady Catering & Events, a premier catering service serving San Antonio and surrounding areas. Since expanding his namesake, Chef Jason Dady has garnered the attention of the San Antonio Spurs, San Antonio Botanical Garden, San Antonio Museum of Art, Austin City Limits Music Festival, the McNay Art Museum and Fair Market, among others.

Dady launched his name in the restaurant industry with The Lodge in 2001, spearheading the fine dining scene in San Antonio. In the last two decades, Chef Dady has continued to spread his passion by opening multiple concepts including Tre Trattoria (2007), offering Tuscan-Italian family-style dining at the San Antonio Museum of Art; family-friendly Texas pit ‘cue at the award-winning Two Bros BBQ Market (2008); Range (2017), a Tuscan Italian Steakhouse, located along the famed Riverwalk of Downtown San Antonio; and Jardin (2020), known for Mediterranean-inspired dishes created with fresh ingredients derived from the San Antonio Botanical Gardens.

Chef Dady has gained national attention, starring in Steven Raichlen's Planet Barbecue (2023), Iron Chef Gauntlet (2017), Beat Bobby Flay (2017), Travel Channel’s “Delicious Destinations by Andrew Zimmern” (2016), and Food Network’s “Man, Fire, Food” (2016), among others. He has also been recognized by theJames Beard Foundation becoming an Award Semifinalist in 2012 and Guest Chef in NYC in both 2005 &2008.As a familiar face in San Antonio, Chef Dady is not shy to make appearances at events and participate local cooking competitions. Judged by his peers, Chef Dady has earned the titles of “Chef of the Year” by San Antonio Culture Map (2022), “Best Culinary Ambassador” by San Antonio Magazine (2021), “Best Chef in San Antonio” by the San Antonio Current and San Antonio Magazine (2013, 2018), “40 Under 40 Rising Star” in the San Antonio Business Journal (2008), and “Rising Star” in Restaurant Hospitality Magazine (2004), among others.

Dady’s talent and charismatic personality have established relationships and partnerships around the world. From shipping BBQ to loyal friends in France to having recipes featured in “Recipes From The Ranch,” a cookbook from The Resort at Paws Up in Montana, Chef Dady magnetic charm and genuine warmth shine through every endeavor.

Residing in San Antonio, Chef Dady enjoys spending time his wife and their three children. He and his family enjoy outdoor activities, such as camping, fishing and horseback riding in their free time.
